Immortals, Festivals, and Poetry in Medieval China: Studies in Social and Intellectual History. By DONALD HOLZMAN. Variorum Collected Studies Series. Brookfield, Vt.: ASHGATE PUBLISHING COMPANY, 1998. $106.95.
