The premise of Linchpin is simple: Everything you know about reaching the top of the corporate ladder is wrong. Author Seth Godin asserts that since our first day of kindergarten, we've been trained not to be leaders or innovators, but assembly line workers.

How do we break out of the mold? Godin offers up several great pieces of advice.
