LIFE IS GRAND IN THE U.S/S SAFEST CITIES.

The 100 Safest Cities in America report for 2021 has been released by SafeWise. The cities that made the top 100 boast a collective violent crime rate that is 92% lower than the national average.

The top five are Hopkinton, Mass.; Franklin, Mass.; Buckingham Township, Pa.; Oakland Township, Mich.; and Bernards Township, N.J.

Thirty-nine of the safest cities are within 50 miles of New York. Boston has the second-biggest number of safe suburbs with 19. Some 91 of the top 100 safe cities are within 50 miles of a major metropolitan area--with 65 of those in the Northeast.

The average income among the 100 safest cities is $106,298--significantly higher than the median household income across the U.S. ($68,703). Only two cities on the list report a median household income below $50,000 per...
