FATHER AND SON CANDIDATES IN DIFFERENT STATES

I enjoyed reading Dianna Gordon's article "Lawmaking--a Family Affair" in the June issue of State Legislatures. I am a freshman legislator in the Ohio House of Representatives. My father served in the Wisconsin House from 1951-54 and is running this year in the 10th House District in Montana.

At the tender age of 73, he is quick to respond to anyone who questions his venture at this age--"It's not the age of life, it's the stage of life that is important."

Apparently, his next stage will be returning to one of his earlier stages. He was the youngest elected legislator in the nation during his first term in Wisconsin.

From your article, it is apparent there are father/mother-son-daughter legislative combos serving in the same state. I wonder if there are such combinations in legislatures in two different states?
