Letter to Client Regarding Acceptance of Policy Limits

Dear Client:

I am enclosing a copy of the affidavit of Tom Tortfeasor. While it is conceivable that the affidavit is not accurate, it is my experience that individuals generally tell the truth when placed under oath. Moreover, if Mr. Tortfeasor is lying, he could be subjected to both criminal and civil fraud.

Since Mr. Tortfeasor's sole asset is the equity of $20,000.00 in his home, and such asset is exempt if Mr. Tortfeasor chooses to go bankrupt, it is unlikely that you will receive anything in addition to the policy limits.
