Letter from the Editor
The Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Race Perspectives is delighted
to present this second issue of Volume 14. In our ongoing mission to ensure that
Critical Race Theory is presented accurately through high-quality scholarship, we are
proud to publish these new works. In this issue, scholars address the link between res-
idential segregation and the disproportionate representation of African-American
children in foster care, an analysis of Asian American efforts to oust San Francisco’s
progressive prosecutor, the history of the Black-Indian alliance, and a potential route
to constitutional protections for victims of racial discrimination by religious
institutions.
We are also pleased to announce that in order to maximize the incredible opportu-
nity we have to be a national leader in vital CRT scholarship and to explore complex
race conversations in greater detail, we are adjusting our publication schedule, and
will publish a single issue for each volume.
Production of this issue could not have been possible without the hard work of
many people. I would like first to thank all those who have worked so hard to pro-
duce the issue. Thank you to Georgetown Law professors Sherally Munshi, Emma
Jordan, and Madhavi Sunder for lending us their expertise, experience, and mentor-
ship. Thank you also to Anna Selden and Stacy Carmichael from Georgetown Law’s
Office of Journal Administration for your support.
This issue could not have been possible without the support of all Journal mem-
bers, who spent immense time outside of their regular class schedules to produce this
issue. A special thanks to those who served on the Editorial Board, whose passion for
this work made all of this possible. I would also like to thank the authors of this
issue’s pieces. We are humbled and excited to publish your important work.
