Hello Readers! It is my honor to bring this first edition of the Family Law News for 2023. In this edition, we have articles that cover a vast swath of family law issues. One of my favorite aspects of family law is that it touches almost every practice area. From criminal law to taxes to estate planning to immigration to dependency, family law intersects with all these practice areas and more. It requires family law attorneys to continuously learn and grow, sometimes outside their comfort zone. While we are not required to be experts nor to give advice on these issues, it is important to be able to identify these intersections and advise our clients to seek further advice, elsewhere. The only way to be able to spot these intersections is to remain curious, be a persistent inquirer, and knowledge gatherer.
