It's just after noon on Wednesday, Nov. 3, and as I write this letter at Scholastic's headquarters in New York (with one eye on my computer screen and the other on the TV screen), the rest of the UPFRONT staff is putting the finishing touches on our election story.

In a couple of hours, the presses will start rolling in Ohio, and (if the Post Office cooperates), a few days from now you'll be reading this issue with your class, and trying, like the rest of America, to figure out where the nation goes from here.
