LETTER FROM THE 2017-18 CO-CHAIRS OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAW SECTION

Welcome to the first "new" International Law Section under the banner of the newly formed California Lawyers Association. The International Law Section is the international face of statewide lawyers to the rest of the world. If California were a separate country, it would have one of the largest economies by GDP worldwide. Adding to the diversity of California, and the scope and range of legal services provided by California lawyers, the International Law Section embraces global diversity.

We have the unique historical position of serving as the last Chairs of the Section under the State Bar of California and the first Chairs of the Section under the California Lawyers Association, inaugurating a new era of California legal history. We would like to thank our predecessors in the Section, including all the members, leadership, and staff, at this critical juncture and acknowledge current advisor Al Golbert who was instrumental in founding the International Law Section.
