An estimated 72,000 medical emergency room visits occur annually in the U.S. due to snow removal injuries, including overexertion, heart attacks, strokes, back pain, muscle pulls, and snow blower mishaps, reports the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Those numbers are sure to drop, however, if word of a new wheeled snow shovel (called the Wovel) gets out. Its adjustable fulcrum point at the axle allows the device to work like a see-saw, and the three-foot wheel diameter enhances leverage, making it possible to throw three times as much snow as a traditional shovel and easily clear up to two feet of heavy snow or slush.
