Legislature passes CBA Sunset Extension Bill.

The California Legislature unanimously passed Senate Bill 467, which extends the California Board of Accountancy's sunset date to Jan. 1, 2020. The CBA undergoes a sunset review every four years, during which the Legislature determines whether the CBA is properly fulfilling its mandate to protect the consumers of California through its authority to license and regulate certified public accountants and accounting firms.
