Recorded in Seville and Rabat, the CD Casablanca is the follow-up to El Lebrijano's Encuentros, a landmark album which reinforced the ancestral musical connection between Spain and the so-called Moors in the 1980s, when El Lebrijano's Andalusian crew joined forces with an orchestra from Tangiers.

In conjunction with fellow musical directors Jesús Bola and Diego Carrasco, the cantaor/guitarist Juan "El Lebrijano" Peña - a native of Lebrija, a Gypsy enclave near Seville-commands Morocco's Orquesta Arábigo Andaluza, plus a few Spanish vocalists and percussionists, including the well-known drummer Tino di Geraldo.
