Almost a year ago, the KBA Lawyer Referral Service switched to a primarily online referral service. This was an adjustment for both the public and our panelists. At the same time, the KBA switched to a new membership database and website. It has taken some time, but things are finally starting to feel organized and efficient.
One significant change has been phasing out the 1-800 number for the Lawyer Referral Service. In the past, KBA members, court officials, and affiliate organizations could refer individuals to the 1-800 number for assistance in finding an attorney or possibly another resource to assist with their legal needs.
