Do you know individuals in need of a lawyer referral service? Here are a few resources that may provide some assistance.

Note: The CBA does not offer referral services or provide access to public records.

Colorado Legal Services (CLS) www.coloradolegalservices.org

CLS assists low-income Coloradans with civil legal issues. It provides legal representation, as well as information about self-help resources, locating and qualifying for free or low-cost legal services, and local courts. CLS is unable to take immigration or criminal defense cases. For a list of resources that can assist with criminal matters, select the "Referrals for Help with Criminal Matters" link on the CLS home page.

CLS provides a wealth of self-help legal information for the public at www.coloradolegalservices.org/lawhelp/issues. Information is organized into the following categories: Business Law, Civil Rights, Consumer Issues, Elder Law, Employment, Family and Children, Government Benefits, Health Law, Housing, Immigration, Juvenile, Migrant Workers, Native American, and Taxes.

The CLS website also provides live help for veterans, active serv- icemembers, and their families on Wednesdays, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Simply select the "Live Help" link on the right side of the page during one of those times and then enter the desired question.

CLS offices are located throughout Colorado. Select the "Contact Us" link on the CLS home page for office locations and phone numbers. Hours vary among locations, so it is recommended to call before making an in-person visit.

Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Find A Lawyer www.cobar.org/directory/index.cfm

The Find A Lawyer directory on the CBA website provides contact information for CBA member attorneys. Individuals can find attorneys using search criteria such as practice area, name, or region, or by performing an "Advanced search."
