Lawn care calls for common sense.

Do you wake up early on the weekend and blow yard debris from your lawn? Do you, your children, or your pets go on the lawn immediately following a pest control application? If you answered yes, you need to change your lawn care habits.

The Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) advises homeowners to use common sense when caring for their lawn. Leaf blowers, mowers, and any outdoor power tools should be utilized during reasonable hours -- not early in the morning or late at night -- so you won't wake up or anger neighbors. When operating leaf blowers, never blow debris onto an adjacent property, the street, vehicles, people, or pets. Leaf blowers should not be used within 10 feet of doors or windows.
