Beginning with the 2001 tax year, the FTB is authorized to disclose limited tax information to local tax officials.

California Revenue and Taxation Code Sec. 19551.1 limits the FTB to disclosing the taxpayer's name, address, principal business activity code and Social Security Number or taxpayer identification number.
