AICPA launches product to make documenting internal controls easy, affordable.

The AICPA recently introduced new proprietary controls-related software tools in three distinct versions. Available through the store at www.cpa2biz.com, ControlsDoc[SM] is now available in kite, Standard and Suite to meet the needs of companies of various sizes. The new ControlsDoc[TM] versions are a joint venture between The Cobre Group and Lynford Graham, CPA, Ph. D., Certified Fraud Examiner, author, consultant and recent former member of the AICPA Auditing Standards Board and the SOX "'Section 404" Implementation Task Force. The newly enhanced CPA2Biz site features two separate demonstrations, an overview of ControlsDoc[SM] by Graham online and easy online purchasing for AICPA members and non-members.

All three variations of ControlsDoc[SM] are designed to capture the required controls documentation and to assist companies and auditors in evaluating the effectiveness of controls design. The program also uses the five components of the COSO Internal Controls framework to assess the value of internal controls.

"We know the new requirements, but it's time to get organized and efficient in assessing the design and implementation of controls," said Lynford Graham.
