Aghast at the xenophobic rhetoric of candidates including Donald Trump, hundreds of immigrant-rights advocates rallied at the Republican debates in Las Vegas, Denver, and Milwaukee. The Las Vegas action drew a diverse and enthusiastic crowd.

Carla Cano, a mother, college student, and housekeeper at the Days Inn, would benefit from an Obama Administration program that shields parents of lawful residents from deportation. Republicans have filed lawsuits to block the program in twenty-six states.

"We need to stop deportations, to stop separating families like mine, that are just here to work and build a better future," says Cano, who handed out flyers in Milwaukee for the "March Against the Party of Trump."
