You think Roman numerals give you trouble? Well, Super Bowl "L"--the 50th Super Bowl, which is four years away--is giving the NFL conniptions. Is there any way to make the L, which will appear on hundreds of thousands of souvenir T-shirts, hats, and mugs in 2016--not to mention a few dozen championship rings--connote anything but "loser"?
