Kodiak Village Corp. gives big distribution.

A small Kodiak Island Alaska Native village corporation recently announced one of the largest cash distributions ever given to Alaska Native shareholders/beneficiaries in Alaska.

Akhiok Kaguyak Inc. announced a $200,000 distribution to each shareholder with two different payments of $100,000 each from the AKI Settlement Trust. The first payment was in August and the second will be made prior to Jan. 31, 2003, according to Pauline Coyle-O'Brien, who chairs the board.
