Knowles Touts Success in Exports to Taiwan.

Gov. Tony Knowles said Taiwanese officials have lifted a government ban on carrot imports from Alaska.

"Alaska is the only state that can produce and sell carrots to Taiwan," Knowles said, making the announcement in the wake of a recent shipment of two. containers of Alaska virus-free seed potatoes and four containers of tablestock potatoes to Taiwan.
