KLEAR PLASTIC VENTURES RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM APR.

Klear Plastic Ventures (KPV) has been recognized by the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) for meeting or exceeding APR's "Critical Guidance Protocol for Clear PET Articles with Labels and Closures" requirements -PET-CG-02. The announcement, which supports KPV's Far Eastern New Century (FENC) Top Green heat shrinkable film for sleeve labels, was made at the recent APR Annual Meeting in Nashville, TN, USA.

During the PET bottle recycling process, polyester shrink sleeve labels that remain with the bottle are ground into flake and sink along with the PET bottle flake. FENC TopGreen film creates negligible clumping and IV drop, both of which are detrimental to the value of recycled PET plastic. KPV will work with their customers and ink suppliers to promote the use of TopGreen film--with releasable and non-staining ink systems--which is intended to provide a more complete recycling solution.
