Ministries and public agencies in Kenya have begun a five-year journey to electronic government records.

Public Service Minister Dalmas Otieno said about 560 records management officers will work in the registries of each ministry to help migrate the information from paper to digital.

At the same time, all past correspondence will be scanned and stored electronically for easier retrieval.
