Justice for Families Program (DOJ)
Scope: The Justice Department’s Office on Violence
Against Women seeks applications for the FY2021
Justice for Families Program Solicitation to improve
the response of the civil and criminal justice system
to families with a history of domestic violence, dating
violence, sexual assault and stalking, or in cases
involving allegations of child sexual abuse.
Deadline: Letters of Intent, Jan. 8, 2021; proposals, Jan.
22, 2021.
Funds: $13 million total for up to 23 awards ranging
from $550,000 to $650,000.
Eligibility: Nonprot organizations and state, local and
Native American tribal governments.
Areas: DOJ said the program supports the following
activities for improving the capacity of courts and
communities to respond to families affected by the
targeted crimes: court-based and court-related
programs, supervised visitation and safe exchange by
and between parents, training for people who work with
families in the court system, civil legal services and the
provision of resources in juvenile court matters.

Across State Lines: Interstate Compact (DOJ)
Scope: The Justice Department’s National Institute
of Corrections (NIC) seeks applications for the Across
State Lines: Interstate Compact announcement to
produce a 60-minute documentary that provides a
general context and history of the Interstate Compact.
Deadline: Jan. 21, 2021.
Funds: $180,000 for one award.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities, for-prot
organizations and nonprot organizations.
Areas: DOJ said objectives include but are not limited
to: conducting an initial virtual meeting with NIC and the
Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision
(ICAOS) project team within 30 days of award to clarify
goals and objectives, discuss and develop a timeline
of activities, clarify roles, discuss the overview of the
project and develop the project concept plan that
will be used to guide the project; performing multiple
onsite visits (at multiple locations to be determined) to
interview and record selected ICAOS staff and adults on
supervision for the documentary; supplementing footage
with relevant archival materials sourced through outside
research; and ensuring that audio/video recordings are
of professional quality.

TechWomen Program (DOS)
Scope: The State Department’s Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs seeks applications for the FY2021
TechWomen Program announcement to empower,
connect and support the next generation of women
leaders in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics.
Deadline: Jan. 21, 2021.
Funds: $3.08 million for one award.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities and nonprot
organizations.
Areas: DOS said successful applicants will develop and
conduct a comprehensive recruitment and selection
process that includes a clearly articulated plan to
ensure a diverse group of participants, including those
with disabilities; identify U.S.-based companies and
individuals with whom collaboration on mentorships
and networking opportunities is possible; demonstrate
robust engagement with the private sector to expand
networking opportunities and secure mentorship hosts
in small-, medium- and large-sized companies; create
program guidelines and other relevant materials for
U.S. host organizations; and arrange appropriate and
meaningful project-based mentorships of ve to six
weeks in duration for all the participants at U.S.-based
science and technology companies or institutions.

Arctic Region Virtual Grant Program (DOS)
Scope: The State Department’s U.S. Mission to Canada
seeks applications for the Arctic Region Vir tual Grant
Program announcement to carry out virtual programs to
strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and
Canada in the Arctic region.
Deadline: Aug. 9, 2021.
Funds: $100,000 for awards ranging from $500 to
$25,000.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities, nonprot
organizations and qualied individuals.
Areas: DOS said examples of Arctic Region Virtual Grant
