These free outdoor concerts bring Anchorage together for lunch and feature some of the state's finest bands with a wide range of styles, including Dixieland, Latin jazz, Folk, Big Band and the popular Air Force and Army bands from Anchorage and Fairbanks. 6 Alaska Oceans Festival

Musicians, speakers, artists, fishermen, ocean recreationists and ocean conservation groups converge in beautiful downtown Anchorage to spend a day celebrating Alaska connections to the ocean. Films, food vendors, the Moose's Tooth beer garden, Seafood Olympics, a 5K Run for the Waves foot race, and the "Bucking Salmon" are just a few of the attractions that make this one of Anchorage's favorite summer events. 6 Thunder Run Walk'n Roll

The Forget-Me-Not Mission is proud to present the first Thunder Run Walk 'n Roll to fight the Drunk Driving problem in Alaska. Funds raised will benefit victims of drunk driving crashes. 13.21 Anchorage PrideFest

During this nine-day period, various nonprofit, social and business organizations will host special events at venues around Anchorage. A highlight of PrideFest is the Celebrating Diversity Parade at 11 a.m. June 20 through the heart of downtown Anchorage. After the parade, attendees will join the festival on the Delaney Park Strip from noon until 6 p.m. The Festival features live entertainment, vendors, food, friends and fun, all under the glorious midnight sun.
