April Board Action Summary

• Approved the Executive and Nominating Committees' recommendation to appoint Gregory H. Meyers to fill a special vacancy on the Board of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii due to the resignation of a sitting board member from Kauai. The term for Mr. Meyers will start immediately and expire on June 30, 2016;

• Approved proposed nominations being recommended by the Executive and Nominating Committees to the Special Committee on Judicial Performance (Rule 19 Committee) which will be forwarded to the Hawaii Supreme Court for approval;

• Voted to approve proposed amendments to the HSBA Board policy regarding the Annual Fundraiser Dinner with respect to event planning, administrative support and facility use agreement, beneficiary nominees, and tax requirements.
