4 Annual Anchorage July Fourth Celebration

This event features a variety of vintage aircraft fly-bys from around the state. Arriving in Alaska in 1976, he fell in love with the rugged, intrinsic beauty and determined he would make his life in Alaska. Hammer has opened for many acts playing the Alaska circuit: Emmy Lou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Hoyt Axton, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman, and Air Supply. 11 Joshua Davis and the AJW Jazz Quintet Concert

The Alaska Jazz Workshop presents internationally acclaimed jazz bassist Joshua Davis in concert with the AJW Jazz Quintet, featuring Alaska Jazz All Stars John Damberg-vibes, Kerry Maule-trumpet, Mark Manners-guitar, and Cameron Cartland-drum set. 4 Fourth of July Parade

This annual tradition begins at 2 p.m. at Latimer Fire Station on the Old Glenn Highway and travels 2 miles north to Chugiak Elementary School and the Chugiak Senior Center. Those wishing to enter the parade need to be at Latimer Fire Station by 1 p.m. to register. There are no fees.
