The Expeditionary Warfare Division Feb. 23 presented the first Smith-Turner Expeditionary Operations Award to retired Marine Corps Gen. James L. Jones for his contributions to Expeditionary Warfare.

His long and distinguished career includes serving as President Barack Obama's national security advisor, and stints at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, NATO and the State Department.
