Did you know that Utah is ranked fourth in the nation for the highest rate of food need? Did you know that more than 40 percent of all Utahns needing food assistance are children? Did you know that more food donations are needed during the summer months than during any other time of year?

These are just a few of the reasons why Utah Business is proud to partner with Utah Food Bank for its annual Summer Business Food Drive. This annual food drive, which runs June 1 through August 31, is vital to supporting the nearly one in 10 Utahns who struggle daily to find their next meal. This drive is also especially crucial for the many children who depend on subsidized school lunch during the school year, but are left without help during the summer break.

That's why we are calling on you--Utah's business community--to join our efforts in the fight against hunger this summer. Together, we can make a real difference for these families in need.

There are many ways that your company can get involved in the Summer Business Food Drive. You can host a company-wide food drive, encouraging employees and customers to bring in their non-perishable goods. The Utah Food Bank will provide collection barrels at your office site to make it an easy process. You can also host a virtual food drive, allowing individuals to donate food or funds directly online.
