Joanna Lau wins NDIA's 2005 Small Business Award.

The National Defense Industrial Association's Small Business Division has given its 2005 Dr. Kathleen P. Sridhar Small Business Executive of the Year Award to Joanna Lau, president and CEO of Lau Technologies, of Concord Mass.

NDIA President Lawrence P. Farrell Jr. made the presentation at the association's annual National Small Business Conference, held recently in San Diego, Calif.

Lau was selected for her long-term contributions to national security. Over the years, she has provided the Defense Department with many products for the Army and Air Force. She serves as a member of NDIA's Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee of the Small Business Division.

The Sridhar Award is named for Dr. Kathleen P. Sridhar, who became its first recipient posthumously. She was recognized for her performance as a business executive and her support of defense-related small businesses while battling...
