On Jan. 31, Governor Granholm spoke to chamber members on Lansing's plan to stomp out Michigan's economic woes at the MGM Grand Detroit. Granholm's presentation focused on reforms to Michigan's prison system, the state's economic stimulus plan for business, increasing Michigan's marketing efforts and strengthening education and the state's alternative energy sector. Granholm's address to business owners attracted 300 attendees and will now become an annual chamber event.
