Above and Beyond: Judge Heely Wins Humanitarian of the Year Award
Second Circuit District Family Judge Adrianne N. Heely was recently named Humanitarian of the Year by the Maui Non-Profit Directors Association.
The award is given to an "outstanding individual who freely gives of time, talent, and treasure." She was also recognized for successful stewardship and motivating others to help those in need.
Judge Heely was nominated by Paul Tonnessen of the Friends of the Children's Justice Center of Maui. Judiciary staff, Maui Prosecutor's Office, Attorney General's Office (Maui), Child Welfare Services, and various community providers also submitted a group nomination forjudge Heely.
