This medical malpractice action, which was in the court system for 15 years, was brought by the plaintiffs to recover for injuries they alleged the now adult plaintiff sustained at birth. The plaintiffs argued that the plaintiff mother sustained a placental abruption during labor which the defendants failed to diagnose and treat that caused the fetus to be deprived of oxygen resulting in injury. The defendants denied all allegations of negligence and injury.
