Jackson v. Jamrog, 411 F.3d 615 (6th Cir. 2005). A state prisoner filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging the constitutionality of a Michigan statute that permits prosecutors and crime victims to appeal decisions to grant parole, but which provides no equivalent right of appeal to state prisoners who are denied parole.
