IV. SENTENCING

When a person has been convicted of a felony or a class A misdemeanor or is under the age of 21, the court may order as part of the pres-sentence investigation that the defendant to undergo a mental examination in a designated facility.93 The court may order that defendant may remain in the facility for up to 30 days.
