Ruth Conniff: I have just finished reading your Progressive column ("Middle America: The Politics of Our Constitutional Crisis," June/July issue) and appreciate your focus on Trumps lies. My concern is that you seemed to stress that the solution was to beat Trump. Like all we have to do is get more people to vote for someone else. That's not the problem. Anybody can beat Trump. Even Hillary did it. A dead dog running against him could win.

The problem is the Electoral College. We have this representative body that interprets how we voted. We can fix that easily with the National...
