I was appalled to learn that in today's society, free expression is still not accepted ("A Sensation--But Is It Art?" 11/1/99). The point of art is to catch your attention and to provoke your thought process. If you get offended, deal with it. You do not have the right to discredit the artist and the museum. Nor does Mayor Giuliani have the right to infringe on the First Amendment rights of the museum to exhibit the work.
