Introductory Editor’s Note
The selection of articles for our November 2012 issue demonstrates the
growing prominence of the nonprofit sector and related studies for those of
us in public administration. Networks, issues of governance, and the rela-
tionship between the state and nonprofit organizations, all have increasingly
important roles in the functioning of governments and the fulfillment of
their purposes. I hope you will enjoy the common threads that connect these
four articles while appreciating the different perspective and levels of
inquiry provided by each author.
