Introduction to
Volume 53
A minisymposium on the relations of nonprofit organizations to government
in China leads off the first issue of Volume 53 of Administration & Society.
Chao Guo and Zhibin Zhang have organized the minisymposium to explore
the recent trends in scholarship attempting to accommodate the complexity
and fluidity of nonprofit–government relations in the China setting. They
conclude with a synthesis of recent trends in research and likely future
directions.
Rounding out the January 2021 issue, Yuhao Ba presents a theoretical
model for understanding the characteristics of corporate-led environmental
governance, and Byung Hee Min, Youngmin Oh, and Ralph S. Brower
examine the dynamics of feedback in performance management through a
typology of performance feedback signals.
Future issues of Volume 53 will include new and provocative Perspectives
essays; new research on the natu re and limitations of public– private
partnerships in governance; and new inquiries into the complex dynamics
of politics, policy, and administration, among many other facets of admin-
istration and its functions, performance, and impacts in society.
