Interim county administrator wraps up first week on job.

New Richland County interim administrator Edward Gomeau, who has more than 40 years' experience in public service, will be introduced at Richland County Council's Nov. 13 meeting.

Gomeau, who most recently served as a financial consultant for a school district in Vergennes, Vt., has managed organizations including the town of Greenwich, Conn., and has experience in housing, disaster recovery and labor negotiations. He holds an MBA in financial management from Suffolk University and a master's degree in operations research from New York University's Tandon School of Engineering.

Gomeau, hired after former county administrator Gerald Seals was fired in April, began work this week, arriving in town on Monday. He has met with county staff members and toured the area, according to a news release from Richland County's Public Information Office.
