The 14-story Inlet Tower and Suites, located in Anchorage at 1200 L St., is getting a $5 million makeover that has restored its 1950s-era style and splendor.

The building that dominated Anchorage's skyline when it was built in 1953 was purchased last fall by an Anchorage-based partnership and is being run by KRK Management, which operates other hotels in Anchorage, Bethel and Nome.
