A recent National Defense article (Information Overload?, May 2006, page 9) cites the problem of the disorganized flow of information. A USA Today article of Sept. 17 2003 (Database Will Unite Agencies' Terrorist Lists) states that such a super database will need to be developed. Technology for data sharing has been present for over two decades suggesting that a "super mega" database may not be required. Terror forces employing high-tech methods make it imperative for defense agencies not only to formulate their mission information precisely, but to communicate such information between groups accurately and succinctly. When business makes an analysis error, only money is lost. When Defense makes an error, lives may be lost.
