Roberto Cornejo appeals the judgment convicting him of two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. See WIS. STAT. 940.225(1)(d) (1985-86). He also appeals the order denying his postconviction motion. Cornejo's first claim is that his trial counsel was ineffective for failing to investigate why he left Wisconsin and eventually settled in Michigan.
