Thomas E. Romesser, vice president of technology development for Northrop Grumman Corporation's space technology sector, has been elected as a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, in Redondo Beach, Calif Romesser was chosen for his pioneering contributions to high-power laser technology and isotope separation.

Robert L. Wright, founder, chairman and CEO of Dimensions International, has retired after nearly two decades at the helm of the 400-person organization.

His son, Russell Wright, has been named the new chairman and CEO.

Bell Helicopter, a Textron company, has promoted Elaine Vaught to the position of executive director of aircraft systems design engineering. Vaught will be responsible for the design and integration of airframe, propulsion, mechanical and avionics systems for commercial and military helicopters and tilt rotors.

ARINC Incorporated, of Annapolis, Md., appointed Graham Lake as its vice president for European operations. Lake continues as managing director of the company's operations in Europe, a post he has held since 1999.

James L. Weitzel has been promoted to the position of vice president of ocean systems for Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems--Undersea Systems. Weitzel previously served as the business unit's director of surveillance and aviation trainer programs.
