Amitabh Pals article, "See No Evil" (June/July issue), enhanced my awareness of some current activists in the Indian American community--more power to them--but was otherwise disappointing. I found distasteful his questioning of the motives behind the religious conversions of Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley. That is entirely a private matter. And Pal is a bit disingenuous when he makes the claim: "The Indian American community is solidly Democratic. In the last three presidential elections, roughly three-fourths of Indian Americans voted for Democrats."

Of course, Indian Americans voted for the Democrats in the last three elections. Twice for...
