Independent Brokers Association Holds Twentieth Annual Dinner President Falk Says Brokers Must Be Alert for All New Developments; Former Superintendent Stoddard Presents Association Gift to Locke.

The Independent Brokers Association of Brooklyn held its twentieth annual dinner, Tuesday evening, January 29, at the Livingston in downtown Brooklyn. Among the estimated 350 persons attending were members of the Association and their families, representatives nf the New York Insurance Department, agents, company men and other active insurance leaders. The affair was replete with reminiscences of men, present and absent, who had played important parts in the furtherance of the cause of brokers and of broker associations.

Harry M. Firestone, chairman of the dinner committee, delivered introductory remarks of welcome and felicitated the Independent Brokers Association on its anniversary. He envisaged a year of success and a "continuation of the same spirit of helpfulness and understanding for the mutual benefit of all factions that comprise the cycle of the insurance profession." Mr. Firestone indicated that the addresses and formal proceedings would be brief in order that the entertainment and dancing, scheduled to follow, could begin.
