IAN L. HERNANDEZ is Vice President, Americas, O'Brien's Response Management. O'Brien's is the world-class leader in emergency/crisis management company. Ian Hernandez leads the company's resiliency programs in the Americas. These programs include actual responses, plans, training and exercises for crisis events, emergencies, natural disasters and oil spills. Customers include governments, transportation, energy, environmental and health care industries. Recent experience includes participation in the Deepwater Horizon, where he served as Director of Nearshore Operations, interfacing with representatives of federal, state, and local jusrisdictions, while leading the efforts of 6,000 responders. Ian Hernandez holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL), and an MBA from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business (Houston, TX). He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Contributing his knowledge and experience whenever possible, he has also conducted volunteer work in Jordan, Guatemala, and México. He resides in Houston, TX.
