Terry was well loved for his deep insight and the compassion with which he approached the adventure of his life. As a teenager, he co-founded a Seattle based neosurrealist/dadaist art group, and was steadily and successfully showing his work throughout the area by the time he was twenty. He graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from Seattle University, then worked for several years in this field for a gas company.
At twenty-eight, he entered Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College, and was to enter his third year of law school in the fall of 1997. It was at Lewis and Clark that he met his soulmate and beloved fiancee, Laura Disciascio.
