James B. Kuhn passed away at home July 7. For most of his life, he was raised in Chula Vista. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and then from San Diego State with honors in accounting. Kuhn was a partner in a number of CPA firms (twice in the international firm of Touche Ross).

Kuhn held many CalCPA leadership positions, including serving as 1969-70 chair, served on AICPA Council and on a variety of other professional committees, including three years on the Joint Committee of the American Bar.
