George Steiner, a member of the Atlanta Chapter since 1980 died unexpectedly in late July following a long illness. He received both his B.B.A. and M.B.A. degree from Emory University, and worked for Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. from 1978 until 2007. His last position was with Cisco Systems. A member of the AICPA and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, he was an Army veteran and began his tax career with Arthur Andersen. He served as 1998-1999 president of the Atlanta Chapter.
